BarrelCalc is a comprehensive database application designed for calculating and managing the volumes of barrels and cylinders. It provides functionalities for storing dimensional data and fluid levels, enabling precise volume computations for both structural and liquid measurements. Users can input dimensions in various units, including metric and imperial systems, with the software supporting over thirty volume units across different measurement standards and offering seamless conversions between them. This feature aims to streamline the measurement process in settings where accurate volume assessment is essential.

The tool offers three predefined barrel geometries—parabolic, elliptical, and spindle—to facilitate fitting standard models to real-world containers. For improved accuracy, an optional adjustment factor can be applied to refine volume calculations, accommodating variations in barrel shapes. The software dynamically recalculates liquid levels when a barrel's orientation changes between horizontal and vertical positions, ensuring measurement consistency.

Supported volume units encompass an extensive range, including U.S. liquid measures such as gallons and quarts; dry measures like bushels and pecks; dimensional units such as cubic yards and cubic inches; metric units from cubic millimeters to liters; and British Imperial units including perches and fluid ounces.

Additional features include note-taking capabilities, record flagging for easy identification, sortable records based on various fields (such as ID, barrel volume, or liquid volume), and robust record retrieval by ID.
